Ayeen Art is home to Irish artist Sarah Lee-Byrne. Born in Northern Ireland and of Chinese descent, Sarah grew up being called Ayeen by her family, and Sarah everywhere else. Sound like an identity crisis? Perhaps it is this “identity crisis” that led her to find much solace in art and nature…
Thoughts & Inspiration
Sarah’s practice is informed by her love for nature and intrigue of how connected we are with the environment around us; how it impacts our world and intertwines with our lives.
Grown from her love of drawing, Sarah’s practise is continuously evolving as she challenges new skills and experimentation. From drawing to painting, Sarah also creates original prints in silkscreen and copper plate etching at Belfast Print Workshop where she is currently a member. Sarah’s aims is to enrich our perception of the world around us, by producing hand made quality art and authentic original prints.
